In Form Arsenal Arrive Manchester United After 50 Minutes in Traffic

Arsenal have arrived in Manchester ahead of Wednesday night’s crunch Premier League clash with United.

The players were seen getting off the team coach and walking into their hotel, having taken a private flight out from the capital earlier in the day.

The Arsenal squad, however, rocked up to their hotel behind schedule after being forced to sit in the Manchester traffic – something not strange for Jose Mourinho – for 50 minutes.

One would think some of the Arsenal stars would be accustomed to the English weather by now but several of their players looked fed up as the rain continued to pour down in Manchester.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alexandre Lacazette were both wrapped up warm in hoodies and hats and appeared eager to get within the confinements of the hotel after getting off the team bus.

Unai Emery’s men can strengthen their top-four spot with victory at Old Trafford and will be buoyed by their impressive win over arch-rivals Tottenham at the weekend.

Emery’s side produced their best performance of the season in the win over Tottenham and the Arsenal boss will be keen to continue in the same vein on Wednesday night.

It is the perfect time for Arsenal to come up against Jose Mourinho’s side with United stuck in a rut.

They haven’t won a Premier League game early November and have struggled to make Old Trafford a fortress this season, taking just 11 points from six games.

United go into Wednesday night’s game knowing that a defeat will see them cast aside in the chase for the top four places – while a win for Arsenal could also see Mourinho be given the boot after a string of poor results.
