Impressive Emmanuel Dennis Sinks Manchester United

Super Eagles forward Emmanuel Dennis was in devastating form for Watford as they destroyed Manchester United 4-1 at Vicarage Road on Saturday.

Dennis, on his return from a one game suspension, provided two assists and scored his side’s fourth against the Red Devils who have now lost five of their last seven games in the Premier League.

The Nigerian appears to reserve some his best form for United and has a history of tormenting the Red Devils having also scored against them for former side Club Brugge in the Champions League.

Dennis was set the tone for Watford’s devastating display from the onset and provided the assist for Joshua King’s opener after Ismaila Sarr missed the chance to give the home side the lead from the spot.

Senegal international Sarr later made amends with his side’s second before the break.

United pulled back a goal just after halftime through Donny van de Beek but any signs of a comeback was snuffed out after captain Harry Maguire was sent off for a second yellow card in the 69th-minute.

Afforded more space to operate behind the visitors’ defence, Dennis turned provider again, this time for substitute Joao Pedro before getting on to score sheet himself in added time as Watford claimed a first home league win.

Dennis’ international teammate William Troost-Ekong also impressed as a second half substitute.

Victory takes the Bees four points clear of relegation and piles more pressure on beleaguered United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
