Fidelis Ilechukwu has terminated his contract with Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club (MFM FC) after spending 13 years with the Lagos based club to join Heartland FC of Owerri.
The deal had been in the works for a while following MFM’s disclosure that the club was going to release the manager.
The Naze Millionaires made an official announcement on their social media handles welcoming the vibrant and energetic coach to the club.
IIlechukwu began his sojourn in professional coaching in Nigeria with the Olukoya Boys in the Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO), guiding the team to promotion to the Nigeria National League (NNL), and ultimately the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
MFM experienced continental football in the 2017/2018 CAF Champions League under his management, marking the first time a Lagos based club will be playing on the continent in almost three decades.
Meanwhile, MFM have started searching for a capable manager who will fill Ilechukwu’s relatively big shoes as the young coach settles in with the Soccer Scientists in Owerri with his official unveiling scheduled for Monday, August 5.
