Nigeria’s cadet handball team suffered yet another loss on Sunday to Japan as they fell 30-35 to record a fourth consecutive defeat at the ongoing IHF World Youth Championship in Macedonia.

Japan took little time to exert their superiority getting off to a blistering start and were ahead 18-9 at the break. Nigeria rallied in the second half and actually outscored the opposition 21-17 but couldn’t find the goals to make up the deficit as Japan held on for the victory.

Daikin Kani was named best player and led the goal-scoring for Japan with nine strikes, while Nigeria captain Ibrahim Dikko grabbed eight for Nigeria.
The U19 team next play Argentina on Monday by 2:30 pm.
