Iheanacho On Target In Leicester City Friendly As Musa, Ndidi Also Feature

Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho was on target for Premier League outfit Leicester City in their friendly clash against Italian side Udinese in Klagenfurt, Austria.

The Foxes are presently on a training tour of Austria as they step up preparations ahead of the new league season.

Iheanacho, 19, had resumed training with the former Premier League champions last week alongside Eagles teammates Ahmed Musa and Wilfred Ndidi after their exertions at the just concluded FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.

The three players were introduced as substitutes on the hour mark of the Udinese encounter with the Italians leading 2-0 courtesy first half goals from Kevin Lasagna and Darwin Macchis.

Iheanacho pulled a goal back with one minute left on the clock but Udinese held on to take victory.

The former Manchester City star and the duo of Ahmed Musa and Wilfred Ndidi were featuring in their first preseason game.

Leicester City start their Premier League campaign with a trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United on Friday, August 10, in what’s the opening match of the new season.
