Hugo Lloris Out Of Watford Clash With Thigh Injury

France World Cup winner Hugo Lloris has been ruled out of this weekend’s Premier League London Derby match between Tottenham Hotspur and Watford at Vicarage Road.

The Spurs and France skipper will miss the top-of-the-table clash with a thigh injury according to his club manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine tactician made this known in his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon.

Pochettino is hopeful that the ‘keeper will be fit for their game against Liverpool on September 15, and that the injury is “not a big issue”.

Watford and Tottenham Hotspur have made respective perfect starts to the new league season after both sides won all their three games.

Aside Lloris, French international midfielder Moussa Sissoko (hamstring) is also unavailable for Sunday’s game.

Argentine forward Erik Lamela (hamstring injury) will be assessed ahead of the game, while Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama is back in full training as he recovers from a knee injury.
