Super Falcons coach, Thomas Dennerby has invited 26 players to camp in Abuja ahead of the 2019 Women’s WAFU Cup of Nations in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. 

The Super Falcons’ squad is dominated by home-based professional players including  Rivers Angels midfielder Evelyn Nwabuoku and Ibom Angels goalkeeper Christy Ohiaeriaku. 

Former youth internationals: Efik Peace, Joy Jerry, Joy Bokiri, Ologbosere Mary and Chidinma Okeke made the cut while Sevilla’s Toni Payne, Turkey-based Esther Sunday and USA-based Uchenna Kanu join the squad from abroad. 

Dennerby’s invitees comprise of four goalkeepers, six defenders, seven midfielders and nine forwards.
