Hapoel Be’er Sheva Midfield Maestro, John Ogu Reaffirms Allegiance

As the drumbeats echo from Egypt with June 21 drawing closer for the start of the biennial Africa Cup of Nations tournament, John Ogu of ‎Hapoel Be’er Sheva has reaffirmed his undying loyalty to the Nigerian call.

Nigeria qualified for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations with a game at hand under the charge of Franco-German Gernot Rohr.

Unfortunately, Ogu has often come off the bench to play for the Eagles all through the qualifiers for the continental showpiece.

The former Akwa United star caught fans’ attention with his tweet: “Arise o compatriot, Nigeria’s call Obey. I will Obey it forever. ”

Since his first call-up to join Nigeria’s Senior National side, Ogu has only managed 23 caps, scoring two goals in that duration.

30-year-old Ogu has made eighteen appearances for his club this season and will be hoping for more international appearances at Egypt.
