Handball: Qatar-based Goalkeeper, Adamolugbe Sings High Praises for Nigeria Despite Tough IHF Men’s Emerging Nations Championship Group

Al Shamal of Doha goalkeeper, Oladunjoye Adamolugbe says he has high hopes of Nigeria’s prospects at the 2019 IHF Men’s Emerging Nations Championship.

The IHF Men’s Emerging Nations Championship, which is in its third edition is scheduled to take place from 8th to 16th June, 2019 in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Nigeria has been handed a tough draw against much more established nations such as Bulgaria, Georgia, Ireland, Malta and the United States in Group B.

Notwithstanding the daunting challenge ahead of them, Adamolugbe says Nigeria possesses sufficient talent and determination to upset the odds in their group.

“Nigeria is ready for the IHF Men’s Emerging Nations Championship and I know for sure that we will make a positive impact,” the goalkeeper said.

“The camp boast of some of the best handball players in the country and the federation led by Sam Ocheho has been supportive.

“The coaches, Solomon Yola and Emeka Nnamani have both shared their experiences with us and this helps us in reshaping our mentality.”

The Al Shamal of Doha player praised his Qatari club side and predicted a period of dominance for them in the not too distant future.

“Last season was fantastic for me because I was in top for at my club. My team, Al Shamal of Doha is one of the prides of Qatar and I know we will take over the world of handball soon.”
