Handball Premier Handball: Kano Pillars, Safety Babes Pass Up Chance To Increase Leads On Matchday 10

Safety Babes and Kano Pillars both missed chances to extend their leads at the top of the women and men’s categories respectively at the ongoing Prudent Energy Handball Premier League as they fell to narrow defeats on Thursday. 

Pillars fell to a narrow 18-19 to De Defenders in the men’s category to spurn an opportunity to increase their lead on a day their closest challengers Safety Shooters also faltered.

In other matches decided in the men’s category, Prison Key Boys and Owena Kings shared the points in a 36-36 draw while Lagos Seasiders defeated Sokoto Rima in a one-sided 50-29 victory.

Plateau Vipers saw off Kada Stars 24-21 while Niger United saw off Safety Shooters 32-27. Bornu Spiders stunned Army Boys, COAS Shooters 29-25.

In the women’s category, Plateau Peacocks narrowly edged past Safety Babes 31-30 while Imo Grasshoppers suffered a surprising 21-17 loss to Lagos Seasiders Babes.

Desert Queens struggled to a slim one point 25-24 victory over Kada Queens while Abia Valliants are still without a win as they lost to Defender Babes 28-23.

Edo Dynamos, meanwhile comfortably defeated Owena Queens 28-13.
