Gor Mahia arrive Nigeria for CAF Champions League clash with Lobi Stars

Gor Mahia have confirmed through their official website that the team will observe a two-day camping exercise in Accra, Ghana before heading to Nigeria on Friday to face Lobi Stars for the return leg of the Total CAF Champions League first round tie.

The developments were confirmed by the club’s treasurer Sally Bolo.

“l spoke to the Team Manager Jolawi Obondo who confirmed the team’s arrival in Accra where they will camp and train for two days before heading to Abuja then to Enugu on Friday,” the treasurer told Gor Mahia website.

She added: “Our plan was to fly to Abuja then to Enugu straight but we had to change because Lobi Stars didn’t manage to get us today’s flight…so, we camp and train at neutral ground before the match and Accra was more appropriate.

“Once the team lands in Abuja on Friday, our host (Lobi Stars) will provide the flight to Enugu as per CAF regulations – that if the distance of playing venue is more than 200km outside the capital city, the host should cater for the traveling cost.”

Gor Mahia take two goal advantage to Nigeria after they defeated the Nigerian Champions 3-1 in the first leg last weekend in Kenya.
