‘Good Luck In The Future’ — Okobi Reacts To Oparanozie’s Retirement From Football

Super Falcons midfielder Ngozi Okobi has lauded Desire Oparanozie following her decision to retire from professional football.

Oparanozie announced her retirement from football on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old made the announcement on her X (formerly known as Twitter) handle.

“To my fans, family and friends, thank you for the support over the years. It’s time to take a bow, as I believe there’s no better time than now. I’m officially announcing my retirement from professional football for both club and country,” she wrote.

Okobi also took to her X handle to appreciate Oparanozie.

Oparanozie won the WAFCON (Women’s Africa Cup of Nations)in (2010, 2014, 2016 and 2018 with the Super Falcons.
