Newly promoted Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) side Go Round FC are facing expulsion from the league after failing to meet the salary cap as stipulated by the League Management Company (LMC).
According to the Framework and Rules governing the NPFL, clubs have a salary cap of N150,000 for players but the Omoku-based don’t have the capacity to achieve this meaning that their registration for the new league season is in jeopardy.
Go Round FC secured promotion from the Nigeria National League (NNL) alongside others like Yobe Desert FC, Kwara United and Heartland.
They were scheduled to start their league campaign with the tough away trip to Wikki Tourists on January 14 but that might not see the light of the day if the club doesn’t sort out its registration issues with the LMC.
