German Super Cup: Bayern Edge Dortmund To Claim Fifth Title In 2020

Bayern Munich claimed their fifth trophy of the year as they edged Borussia Dortmund with a late Joshua Kimmich strike to seal a 3-2 win in the German Super Cup.

Bayern built a 2-0 lead with first-half goals by Corentin Tolisso and Thomas Mueller at the Allianz Arena, but although Erling Braut Haaland equalised for Dortmund after a Julian Brandt goal, Kimmich slotted a late winner eight minutes from time.

The Bavarians have won every tournament they have competed in since the start of last season adding the German Super Cup to a domestic treble, the Champions League and European Super Cup.

Hansi Flick’s side can make it six titles in 2020 in the World Club Cup later in the year.
