German Cup: Borussia Dortmund Back To Winning Ways

Holders Borussia Dortmund have returned to winning ways through the German Cup after recent wobbles in both the UEFA Champions League (UCL) and the German Bundesliga.

The Signa Iduna Park outfit defeated their lowly hosts Magdeburg 5-0 courtesy goals from Gonzalo Castro, Alexander Isak, Andriy Yarmolenko (pen), Marc Bartra and former Manchester United star Shinji Kagawa to secure a last 16 spot in their bid to retain the trophy they won last season by beating Eintracht Frankfurt in the final.

Other Bundesliga sides like Bayer Leverkusen, the aforementioned Frankfurt, Mainz 05 and Schalke 04 are also through.
