German Bundesliga Latest: Boateng Stuns Hometown Club Hertha As Gladbach Miss Out On Second Place With Wolfsburg Thrashing

Ghana international midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng stunned his hometown club ten minutes from time to hand his Eintracht Frankfurt side an impressive 2-1 win away from home.

The former AC Milan, Las Palmas and Tottenham star’s strike against Hertha Berlin was enough to take his side (22 points) above Bayer Leverkusen into the top eight while Hertha Berlin drop one place from 11th to 12th.

Borussia Moenchengladbach missed out on the chance to go second and also put pressure on league leaders Bayern Munich in the process.

They were thrashed 3-0 by their hosts VFL Wolfsburg courtesy goals from Yunus Malli, Daniel Didavi and Joshua Guilavogui as they stay in 4th spot while their victorious hosts move three places up the table to 11th position.
