Borussia Dortmund star Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang is the new African goal king in German Bundesliga history after his latest strike at the weekend.
Gabon striker Aubameyang scored his 97th Bundesliga goal during his side’s disappointing 2-1 home loss to Werder Bremen on Saturday to beat Anthony Yeboah’s record.
Ghanaian football legend Yeboah scored 96 goals for German league sides like Eintracht Frankfurt and Hamburger SV in the 90s but that has now been eclipsed by Aubameyang.
The former Leeds United also won the Golden Boot twice (1992/93 and 1993/94) with Frankfurt
The 2015 CAF African Footballer of the Year Award winner has a very good goal ratio for his club having scored 97 goals in 143 appearances.
