Moneybags Paris Saint Germain (PSG) have extended their lead at the top of the French Ligue 1 table to 10 points following a 2-0 win over lowly Troyes at home.

Ttoyes battled hard until their resolve was broken with two goals in the last 20 minutes courtesy Neymar and Edinson Cavani. The latter had missed a first half penalty before he wrapped up the victory for his side on the stroke of fulltime.

Marseille are up to second after a convincing 3-0 win at Metz with goals from Florian Thauvin, Luis Gustavo and Lucas Ocampos.

The win over Troyes takes Marseille above Monaco and Lyon following their surprising defeat to Nantes and Lille respectively.

Nantes defeated Monaco 1-0 at home with a stoppage time goal from Lima while the pressure on Lille manager Marcelo Bielsa eased a little with the surprising 2-1 win at Lyon.
