Bordeaux have moved into the top 10 in the French Ligue 1 after they thrashed Saint Etienne 3-0 at home in a matchweek 15 clash on Tuesday night.

Goals from Alexandre Mendy (2) and Malcolm condemned Saint Etienne to their heaviest defeat at the hands of Bordeaux since a 5-0 reverse in 1988 (29 years ago).

The win was enough to lift Bordeaux (20 points) above Saint Etienne (19 points) and four places upward into 9th position while their opponents drop one place to 10th.

Stade Amiens are also into the top 10 after a 2-1 win over Dijon at home with former Chelsea startlet Gael Kukuta getting one of the goals.
