French Ligue 1 Review: Top Two Bag Three Goals And Three Points

The top two teams, Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and AS Monaco, avoided much drama in their respective league games on Saturday as they both scored three goals to earn the three points at stake.

League leaders and big spenders PSG defeated Lille 3-1 at the Parc des Princes courtesy goals from Angel Di Maria, Javier Pastore and the in-form Kylian Mbappe with Dutch winger Anwar El-Ghazi getting the visitors’ consolation goal.

French champions AS Monaco, on the other hand, had a more difficult win after they came back from two Suk Hyun-Jun goals to beat Troyes 3-2 at home.

Argentine substitute Guido Carillo played a huge role in the comeback victory for last year’s UEFA Champions League (UCL) as he netted a late brace to hand his side the three points.
