French Ligue 1: PSG Thrash Bordeaux To Go Three Points Clear

Big spenders Paris Saint Germain (PSG) have gone three points clear at the top of the French Ligue 1 table after they thrashed Bordeaux 6-2 at the Parc des Princes.

Neymar scored a freekick to open the floodgates of goals and thereafter teed up Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani for the second goal before Belgian rightback added a third. Senegalese defender Younousse Sankhare pulled one back for the visitors and that prompted Unai Emery’s men to get more goals against the previously unbeaten outfit.

Neymar scored a fourth from the spot before German star Julian Draxler scored a fifth goal for a 5-1 halftime score. French youngster Kylian Mbappe made it 6-1 before Malcolm’s consolation from the penalty spot for Bordeaux.

The win takes PSG to the summit with 7 wins and a draw (22 points) from eight games ahead of nearest challengers AS Monaco (19 points).
