Free Agent Samuel Eto’o Joins Qatari Sports Club

Cameroon football legend Samuel Eto’o has signed for the 13th club of his illustrious career following his unveiling at Qatari Sports Club.

He joins the club on a free transfer, days after he left Konyaspor FC of Turkey by mutual consent and became a free agent.

The 37-year-old was unveiled by the Doha-based side on Tuesday.

He becomes the latest high profile player to move to the Qatari Sports League after Spanish football legend Xavi Hernandez and Dutch playmaker Wesley Sneijder.

Samuel Eto’o Fils is a two-time African Cup of Nations (AFCON) winner and Cameroon’s record leading goalscorer with 56 goals.

He has played for European heavyweights like Chelsea, Barcelona and Inter Milan.
