Former Eagles Striker Emenike Teams Up With Las Palmas On A Loan Deal

Former Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, Emmanuel Emenike, has joined struggling Spanish La Liga outfit Las Palms from Greek side, Olympiacos.

The announcement was made by the Spanish club via their official website.

Emenike, 30, has been frozen out of the Olympiacos first team prompting him to secure a move away in search of regular first team football.

He will reportedly arrive the club later today (Thursday) at 5.05pm before undergoing a medical on Friday by 12:30.

The former Fenerbahce and Spartak Moscow striker will then be presented to the club’s fans at the Gran Canaria Stadium.

A statement on the club’s official website said: “The arrival of the player (Emenike) is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, at 05.05pm, on a flight from Madrid. He will undergo medical examination on Friday in the first hour, and around 12.30. will be presented in the press room of the Gran Canaria Stadium.”

Emmanuel Emenike is expected to be the second signing of the January transfer window for Las Palmas, who are currently five points off safety after recording just 14 points from 21 league games.
