Former Arsenal player Tomas Rosicky has announced his retirement from football after an illustrious career.
The former Czech national team captain made this known at a press conference on Wendesday morning.
He said: “After careful consideration I have realised I am no longer able to fully prepare my body for what the professional football requires. I would like to thank Sparta for raising me, for being the first step in my career in big clubs, and for allowing me to say goodbye at the place I love the most.”
Apart from Arsenal, Rosicky also played for Borussia Dortmund and Czech clubs, ČKD Kompresory Prague and Sparta Prague.
Tomas Rosicky was a playing staff at Sparta Prague before he announced his retirement.
He scored 23 goals in 105 appearances for the Czech national team.
