‘Forgotten Man’ Ogbeche Dreams Eagles Return

Nigerian striker Bartholomew Ogbeche has disclosed that he is hoping to earn a recall to the Super Eagles under the current coaching crew led by Franco-German Gernot Rohr.

Ogbeche has been in sensational form for Dutch side Willem II in the Eredivisie and has scored 7 goals in 6 league games.

He burst onto the Super Eagles scene as a wonderkid shortly before the 2002 FIFA World Cup and thereafter ended up as a flop at the tournament in South Korea/Japan.

The former Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Middlesbrough man is hoping his present form can earn him a recall to the Eagles setup.

He made this known in an interview with FOX Sports. Ogbeche said: “I do not expect anything, I stay calm and keep my feet on the ground, I just have to work hard, and if there is an invitation I would be very happy.”

”I still hope for Nigeria to call me. That’s not a secret, I’m a professional footballer and that’s still a dream.

”It would be great, but if it does not come, I’m not disappointed, then I just keep focusing on Willem II and I try to continue to help.

”We have to believe in our chance at the World Cup, I hope to be there.” he concluded.
