Football Hooligan Jailed For Attack On City Star Sterling

A convicted football hooligan, Karl Anderson, has been jailed for his brutal attack on Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling.

Anderson, 29, who already has 25 convictions for 37 offences that includes football-related violence, pleaded guilty to racially aggravated common assault on Sterling and was thereafter jailed for 16 weeks in addition to a compensation payment of £100.

Karl Anderson, who kicked the England winger four times during the assault on Saturday, revealed that he “lost his temper” and thereafter apologised for his actions during court proceedings.

He also abused Sterling using racist language, and further told Sterling that he wanted his mother and child to die.
