Flying Eagles To Face Mauritania In Final AFCON U20 Qualifier After Seeing Off Guinea Bissau

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will face Mauritania in the final round of qualifiers for the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) billed for Niger Republic after their aggregate win over Guinea Bissau in their second round qualifying tie.

With the tie evenly poised at 2-2 from the first leg in Bissau, Adamu Alhassan scored a second half penalty after Wasiu Alalade was upended in the box to give his side a 1-0 win at the U.J. Esuene Stadium, Calabar and a 3-2 aggregate victory.

Paul Aigbogun’s team will now face Mauritania in the final round of qualifiers after the latter saw off Guinea on away goals (3-3).
