Fit-Again Uzoho Resumes Training After 10 Months

Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has endured a long and gruelling return to fitness from a career-threatening knee injury picked up on national assignment last October and the 21-year old was all joy at being able to train once again.

Uzoho made the move from Deportivo la Coruna to Cyprus First Division side APOEL Nicosia in July while still recuperating from his injury and only now has he been able to join his new teammates on the training ground.

It was the first time Uzoho has been able to train in ten months and the goalkeeper took to Twitter on Friday to express his gratitude.

“WOW, I can finally dive again IN CHRIST ALONE,” he wrote.

It isn’t clear if Uzoho is fit enough to start for APOEL who begin their league campaign against Karmiotissa later today.
