Italian Serie A side Fiorentina have completed the loan signing of West Ham United midfielder Edmilson Fernandes.

Fernandes, 22, joins Fiorentina on a season-long loan deal from the Premier League outfit.

His transfer was confirmed by Fiorentina on Monday afternoon via social media.

Edmilson Fernandes became surplus to requirement at the London club under new manager Manuel Pellegrini following the arrival of midfielders Jack Wilshere and Carlos Sanchez.

He joined the club from Swiss club FC Sion in 2016 and has made 48 appearances since he became a Hammer.

Edmilson Fernandes is line to make his debut when Fiorentina take on Sampdoria in their Serie A opener at the weekend.
