African teams Ghana and Mali have qualified for the next round at the ongoing FIFA u-17 World Cup after respective wins over hosts India and New Zealand on Matchday 7.
Ghana thrashed India 4-0 to finish as Group A winners ahead of Colombia and United States of America (USA) despite the fact that the three teams finished on 6 points apiece.
Ben Ayiah scored two goals in addition to other strikes from Emmanuel Toku and Richard Danso.
Fellow West African side Mali are also through to the second round following a 3-1 win over New Zealand with Djemoussa Traore getting one of the goals for his second goal of the tournament.
