The Super Eagles maintained their place as the 32nd best team in the world in the  FIFA rankings for May.

They also remained unmoved as the number three team in Africa behind Senegal (22) and Tunisia (26) as the rankings held steady from last month.

Nigeria were last in action in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in March when they beat Benin and Lesotho to end the campaign unbeaten and book their place in Cameroon.

The global top five also remain unchanged, with Belgium still number one ahead of France, Brazil, England and Portugal.
