FIFA Confederations Cup: Chile Beat Cameroon To Go Top In Group B

Chile have gone to the top of Group B after the South American champions defeated Cameroon 2-0 in what was the third game at the tournament in Russia.

Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal and Eduardo Vargas scored two goals in the last eight minutes to give Chile the win against the African champions though it was the half-fit Alexis Sanchez who turned out to be the game changer for his team as he had a hand in both goals having come on as a 58th minute substitute for Edson Puch.

Chile will next face world champions Germany in their second group game on Thursday. The Germans will play Australia on Monday for their own opening game at the tournament.
