FIFA Ban Super Eagles Legend Samson Siasia For Life

Former Super Eagles of Nigeria striker Samson Siasia has been banned for life by FIFA’s Ethics Committee after been found guilty of violating FIFA Code of Ethics.

In a media release from FIFA, the judgment was passed after a thorough investigation which revealed that the former national men’s football team Head Coach had “accepted that he would receive bribes in relation to manipulation of matches”.

Siasia had been under investigation since February 11, 2019, which stemmed from and a match-fixing attempt from a convicted Singaporean match-fixer, Wilson Raj Perumal which was known to the Olympic silver medal-winning coach.

The 52-year-old has now been banned from all football-related activities, both local and international, and slammed with a fine of 50,000 Swiss Francs, which he has been notified of with the ban effective immediately.
