
The D’Tigers of Nigeria have been pitted alongside Germany, Italy and France in Pool A of the FIBA 3×3 World Cup Qualifiers scheduled for San Juan, Puerto Rico in May.

Already, 17 teams each have automatically qualified for the Men and Women FIBA 3×3 World Cup taking place in Amsterdam in June but three spots in both categories are yet to be filled up.
8 men’s teams and 8 women’s teams will compete for the last 3 tickets – in each category on May 4 and 5 in Puerto Rico.
Winners from each pool will directly book a place in the semifinal while 2nd and 3rd placed teams will play a Quarter Final with the winners who have already advanced to the Semis.
The winners of the Semi-Finals will be qualified directly to the FIBA 3×3 World Cup 2019, while the losers of the Semi-Finals will play a final game for the final spot in the FIBA 3×3 World Cup. 2019, which takes place in Amsterdam, Netherlands on June 18-23.
Nigeria finished in a disappointing 17th position after their first appearance at the FIBA 3X3 World Cup in Manila, Philippine in 2018.
