Falode Rates NWPL Season High As Super 4 Starts In September

Nigeria Women Premier League (NWPL) chairlady Aisha Falode has rated the just ended women league season high as she looks up to the Super Four competition.

Bayelsa Queens, Rivers Angels, Nasarawa Amazon and Delta Force are the four teams that qualified for the Super Four tournament.

“The season has ended, we enter another phase; the Super Four – where we will crown our champions.

“It has been an interesting and exciting season, where we had the players giving their 100 percent.

“We didn’t record any walkovers, the incidents that we had were negligible. Even those that were serious, we dealt with.

When asked when the Super Four is starting, she added: “We are looking at the first week in September, we would unveil the Super Four roadmap next week.”

Rivers Angels, who have won the last three editions of the Women League will hope to defend their crown when the tournament starts.
