Falcons Will Get A New Coach In Two Weeks – Pinnick

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president Amaju Pinnick has revealed that the country’s senior female national team, Super Falcons, will have a new coach by the end of January.

Pinnick, who is also an executive committee member with the Confederation of African Football (CAF), made this known during the signing ceremony to unveil the new partnership between the NFF and soft drinks giant Coca-Cola.

In his words, Pinnick said: Asisat Oshoala and Onome trailed me here to ask me to get them a coach, l have promised them, to give them a new Female National team Coach in 2weeks..”

The Super Falcons of Nigeria are the defending champions after they won the last African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) in Cameroon in 2016.

The title was masterminded by former Falcons player Florence Omagbemi, who was relieved of her duties as an interim head coach shortly after the tournament.

The team has been inactive and without a new coach since the tournament in Cameroon.
