Ezekiel Bassey Joins Egypt’s Al Masry

Egyptian Premier League side, Al Masry Sporting Club have officially unveiled their new signing, former Akwa United player, Ezekiel Joseph Bassey.

Freekicknaija reports that the winger has penned a three and a half year deal with the Egyptian club, moving from Akwa United after an unsuccessful spell with Paykan in Iran.

The former Enyimba star is the fourth NPFL player to make the move up the North of Africa this month, following the transfers of Junior Lokosa who joined Esperance, Ifeanyi Ifeanyi to Setif in Algeria and Tosin Omoyele who joined Nogoom FC also in Egypt.

The Nigeria international will look to improve the fortunes of his new home by finding the back of the net in order to save them from any further drop in the league table after gaining only 19 points from 17 games.
