‘Expensive’ Neymar To Miss French League Bow

Paris Saint Germain (PSG) will have to wait a little longer to see their new acquisition ‘Expensive’ Neymar in action after his documents was not lodged in time for the stipulated deadline.

His ITC (International Transfer Certificate) didn’t meet the midnight deadline therefore ‘Expensive’ Neymar will miss the league opener against Amiens.

He will have to watch the game from the stands according to the league body though he is expected to be presented to supporters before the match at Parc des Princes.

25-year old ‘Expensive Neymar’ joined the Ligue 1 club for a record fee of 222m euros (£200m) and will earn 45m euros (£40.7m) a year.

Speaking during his presentation on Friday, Neymar revealed that his PSG move was not motivated by money. He said: “What I say to these people is they don’t know anything about my personal life. I was never motivated by money.

“If I was following the money, I would be somewhere else, with other clubs in other countries. I’m really sad that people still think that way and I’m glad that PSG believe in me.” he added.
