European Team of the Week

Here is our team of the week from the impressive games.

Goal Keeper: Stefano Sorrentino (Chievo)

Stefano had a great game against the firepower of Napoli. He was able to keep a clean sheet with major saves in the match. He did help Chievo pick a point through some vital saves.

Defense:

Left Back: David Alaba ( Bayern Munich)

David defended well against the likes of Aubemayang and Dortmund firepower. He also recorded a goal to his name. Every time he moves with the ball, it always ends in a counter and always pressurizing the opposing team.

Right Back: Walker (Manchester city)

Walker neutralizes Alexis Sanchez and Ozil to make Arsenal left wing ineffective. He is always on the run with the ball and made some killer passes that were almost converted to goals. Walker inputs have helped Manchester City obtain a maximum point to extend their lead to 8point on the log.

Center Back: Alessio Romagnoli (AC Milan)

Romagnoli was so fantastic, defended well and scored a goal. He showed up bravely in a time the team needed it the most. His bravery and ability helped obtain an away victory which saved Montella his job as coach for the time being.

Centre Back: Mousa Niahkate (Lille)

Mousa was very strong and was always available to cover up. He defended well and helped the team with an away victory and a clean sheet.

Defensive Midfield: Ngolo Kante

Should we say Kante’s absence due to an injury was the reason Chelsea dropped form? Kante’s coming back is more than a reinforcement for the London Club. He fought box to box, tackle hard, and won several balls that eased life for Fabregas. He helped his team obtain a maximum point against the Red Devils.

Defensive Midfield: Fernandinho(Manchester city)

Like his fellow premier league counterpart, Ngolo Kante, Fernandinho neutralizes the Arsenal Midfield. He won several balls and frustrated Ozil. He is the key to flexibility in the Ethihad side club.

Right Wing: Arjen Rubben

Arjen Robben became Bayern’s highest-scoring foreign player in the Bundesliga when his 93rd goal for the club finished-off of a lovely move to put Bayern ahead in a derby against their arch rival Burussia Dortmund. He displayed a fine form under their new guide heykens in a match that is expected to go either side especially.

Left Wing: Hazard

Hazard was simply superb. He showed us what we have been missing owing to his injury problem at the start of the season. He was the most fouled player on the pitch and ensured nothing less than 3players were booked through him. He really did display a  high level of confidence.

Holding Midfield: Paco Alcacer( Barcelona)

He was the saviour of the day. Paco gave the Catalans maximum point with a brace to his name. In a match where 5-time world best, and Suarez where nowhere to be found.

Point Man: Edison Cavani ( P. S. G)

Another astonishing performance from Edison. We never knew there was no Neymar, Di Maria presence. He got a brace and evolved well with the team.

Other Notable Performance:

  • kylian Mbape
  • Kelvin DE bruyne
  • Fabregas
  • Alvaro Morata
