Euro 2024: Nigerian Midfielder Makes Italy’s Final 26-Man Squad

Rome-born Nigerian midfielder Michael Folorunsho has been included in Italy’s final 26-man squad for the Euro 2024.

On Thursday, Italy coach Luciano Spalletti named his final squad for the tournament with Folorunsho making the final cut.

In March 2024, Folorunsho received his first call to play for Italy from the national Spalletti.

However, he remained on the bench during friendly games with Venezuela and Ecuador played in the United States.

Spalletti had originally called up 30 players for the Coverciano training camp last week with Folorunsho included.

But defenders Francesco Acerbi and Giorgio Scalvini suffered injuries.

Juventus man Federico Gatti was added to the group a couple of days ago and is in the final list going to Germany.

Lazio goalkeeper Ivan Provedel has been sent home, largely because he struggled with injury during the final months of the season.

Bologna winger Orsolini did not impress in the friendly 0-0
