England were at their magnificent best as they thrashed Ukraine in Rome to set up a Euro 2020 semi-final against Denmark at Wembley.

The Three Lions followed up the victory over Germany in the last 16 by producing a performance of the highest quality to continue their impressive progress in this tournament.

Harry Kane, fresh off scoring his first in the tournament in the win against Germany, bagged a brace against Ukraine poking from Raheem Sterling’s pass after only four minutes and then nodding home England’s third from Luke Shaw’s cross in the second half.

Shaw had also created England’s second, setting up Manchester United teammate Harry Maguire to score from his free kick moments just seconds after the break.

Substitute Jordan Henderson got the fourth – his first international goal, in his 62nd appearance – when he arrived with perfect timing to head in Mason Mount’s corner.

England capped a perfect showing by keeping their fifth successive clean sheet to maintain their record of not conceding a goal at Euro 2020.

They will now meet Denmark in the last four at Wembley on Wednesday.
