EPL: English FA Slams £8,000 Fine On Carlo Ancelotti

Coach Carlo Ancelotti has been fined £8,000 following his red card during Sunday’s Premier League game between Everton and Manchester United.

The game ended 1-1 as both sides shared spoils at Goodison Park.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s late goal would have given Everton the lead but Chris Kavanagh ruled it out for an offside.

Cameras showed Ancelotti approach the referee at the blast of the final whistle to state his grudge but Kavanagh wouldn’t have any of it as he handed the former AC Milan gaffer a straight red card.

Ancelotti becomes the first manager to be shown a red card in the Premier League.

The 60-year-old went on to accept the charge from the FA and consequently avoids a touchline ban.

However, he will pay a fine of 8,000 pounds.
