Enyimba will scuttle at least a point from Mountain of Fire Ministries(MFM) FC in a Nigeria Professional League matchday 13 fixture at the Soccer Temple, Agege on Sunday, Coach Usman Abd’Allah says.

Yesterday, MFM FC Gaffer, Illechukwu Fidelis admitted he was “aware” of Enyimba’s “unbeaten run” and the fact that they are a “technical side”.

He said, “MFM Football Club, we are number one on the log on merit and we are no pushover, so come Sunday Enyimba must fall” but Coach Abd’Allah has other options and is confident his side will do everything in their powers to get no less than a point in Lagos.

“We can’t afford to lose at this point knowing that others are waiting to capitalize on our mistakes. The players know what is at stake and they have promised to give their best to ensure that we leave Lagos with at least a point irrespective of the pressure from the host team. We hope to consolidate on our record against them and go for the three points.” he said.

Earlier at the start of the season, the Elephants of Aba beat MFM FC by two goals but a lot has changed since then and Abd’Allah couldn’t help but admit the fact.

“A lot has changed between us and our opponents because when we faced them at the start of the season it was as if there was a big gulf between us and them but they are currently leading at the top of the table with three points better than us. We must approach the game with seriousness and hope that our players will not disappoint on Sunday.” he said.

Illechukwu is aware history doesn’t favour his team and says anything short of victory is tantamount to failure on the part of his team.

“Enyimba game is very important for us. You know we have not beaten them before in our home and away games. So anything less than three points is failure. We have prepared for the game and we are waiting for them,” Ilechukwu said.

Enyimba sit in second place with 19 points from 12 games and go up against MFM who are occupying the top spot in Group A having picked 22 points from 12 games.
