Enyimba Set To Return Home

Enyimba International Football Club is set to return to the Aba Township Stadium according to Monimichelle, the contractor in charge of laying new turf in the stadium.

The Aba Elephants adopted the UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar for their Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) home games last season following the reconstruction of the Aba Township Stadium.

“Some of the materials we need to complete the job are already on ground in Aba,” Chief Executive Officer of Monimichelle, Ebi Egbe explained.

“In the next few weeks we would get the other consignments in from Europe and immediately that is done the experts that would install it will come into the country for the final phase of the job to begin.”

“The good thing is that the governor has resolved to personally supervise the project and ensure its completion without the involvement of any third party.”

“Enyimba fans can be rest assured that the People’s Elephants would play their continental matches next season at home.” he added,

Led by Coach Gbenga Ogunbote, Enyimba finished third in the NPFL last season with 61 points to claim the CAF Confederations Cup Spot.
