Enyimba have closed the gap on the continental places in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) after they defeated leaders Lobi Stars 1-0 at the U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar.

Abdulrahman Buhari scored the only goal of the game on 51 minutes to give Paul Aigbogun’s side victory in the rescheduled Matchday 21 clash.

The win takes Enyimba (34 points) three places up the table from 9th to 6th spot and within three points of Kano Pillars who occupy the last continental spot (third) while their opponents Lobi Stars (43 points) maintain their five points lead at the top despite the loss.
