Enyeama can’t give conditions for return – Rohr

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has voiced his opinion over if and under what conditions goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama could return to the Super Eagles fold.
Nigeria’s joint-most capped international Vincent Enyeama has been out of the national team set up since announcing his retirement in October 2015, but he has hinted on some occasions that he will return if some things were put in place.
Rohr says he has been in contact with Enyeama, and he’s open to having him back into his team, but the 35 year-old goalkeeper will give no conditions for his return
“I’ve spoken with him. He needs to work first on his fitness and getting back to playing.”
“But no player will give any conditions for his return. Be it that he will be made captain, or that there will be an apology”
The Franco-German said, while speaking on Lagos Talks 91.3’s breakfast sports show Sports Zone.
Rohr continued by stating emphatically that he will offer no apology to Enyeama, and that the Lille goalkeeper will keep to the team’s philosophy if he returns.
Vincent Enyeama has earned 101 caps playing for the Super Eagles, and played a huge part in Nigeria’s 2013 Africa Cup of Nations win. Since his departure, Nigeria has played with three different goalkeepers.
