English FA Charge Premier League Clubs For This Reason

Two English Premier League (EPL) sides, Watford and Stoke City, have been charged by the English Football Association (FA) for failing to control their players during the league game between both teams on Saturday.

Watford captain Troy Deeney clashed with Stoke City midfielder Joe Allen and that triggered a scuffle involving players from both teams.

They were both booked by the referee after the melee cooled off during the game, which ended in a 1-0 win for the visitors Stoke City courtesy Darren Fletcher’s first half strike.

The aforementioned Deeney has since been charged with violent conduct by the FA.

The two clubs have until 18:00 BST on Friday to respond.
