400m athlete Emmanuel Bamidele has reportedly dumped Nigeria for Qatar despite his recent heroics at the Commonwealth Games Trials in Abuja.

According to aclsports, Bamidele who clocked under 46 secs on two occasions during the trials has switched his international allegiance to oil-rich nation Qatar.

Bamidele ran a Personal Best (PB) of 45.85 secs in the semifinal of the 400m event at the Trials before returning with a world leading time of 45.28 secs to win the final.

Bamidele is nowhere to be found as he’s currently absent from the Commonwealth Games camp site in Abuja and his personal coach is said to be searching for him as well.
