Paris Saint Germain (PSG) manager Unai Emery has criticised Italian centre referee for his performance during his side’s 3-1 loss to Real Madrid at the Estadio Santiago Bernebeu on Wednesday night.
Emery and his capitulated in the last ten minutes with scores at 1-1 as they conceded two goals to put themselves in a precarious position ahead of the second leg at the Parc Des Princes next month.
The French giants had taken a lead in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) round of 16 first leg clash through Adrien Rabiot before goals from Cristiano Ronaldo (2) and Marcelo overturned the deficit for the hosts.
Speaking after the game, Emery blamed Italian referee Gianluca Rocchi for his handling of the game.
In his words, he said: “We were quite clearly robbed today. There was a handball and penalty against Sergio Ramos. And there was a foul on Kimpembe for Real’s 2nd goal. I did not like Rocchi’s refereeing. Many small errors make something big.”
