Elneny Ruled Out For The Season

Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

The Egyptian star sustained a knee injury during Arsenal’s home game against London rivals West Ham United and has now been ruled out till the end of the season.

His injury status was confirmed by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger though the 68-year old stated that Elneny has a little chance to play at Huddersfield Town.

Wenger was speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of his team’s UEFA Europa League (UEL) semifinal 1st leg clash with Atletico Madrid. In his words, he said: “Mkhitaryan is not back in the squad. Mohamed Elneny is our for the rest of the season, he has a little chance to play at Huddersfield [on the final matchday]. I think he will be available for Egypt at the World Cup.”
